Under the knife again!

Hiii!!!!

The time has come for me to go "under the knife" again! I have reconstructive surgery tomorrow, September 12th, at 730 am! My plastic surgeon will be removing the expander/spacer that he placed in at the time of my mastectomy and replacing it with an implant. I am hoping that this go around is much smoother and easier than last time, and I pray that I am up on my feet and back to work in no time! Last time I had such a rough time with the narcotics, so he didn't prescribe any to me this time (by my request). Hopefully the pain will be tolerable! I look forward to when I can finally lay comfortably on my stomach and left side (since the expander is like having a steel ball under your skin!)

I have recently updated the slide show on my website and my to do list while recovering is to upload recent pictures (hopefully by next week). I am absolutely loving my job in the NICU and have a thousand stories to share if anyone is interested! I just "not celebrated" my one year mark from being diagnosed last Saturday on Sept 6th and cant believe how fast this year has flown by! My niece, Evin, is almost one year old and she has been the rainbow after the storm in my life! I am so lucky to have Kristin, Teddy, and Evin in my life!

I also wanted to send a special thank you for my cousin Jessica and newly married husband Anthony, and both their families, the Johnson and Schafer families. My family went to their wedding a few weeks ago and they surprised me by handing me a check for money that they generously raised over the last few months selling cheesecakes. What a blessing! I am completely amazed by how thoughtful and generous people have been! Please pray for them in gratitude!

I will let everyone know how tomorrow goes! Thanks for all your support and prayer!
