Happy Thanksgiving and almost Christmas!
Welcome
Thank you for visiting my website and for supporting my struggle and fight against breast cancer...I survived at 25!!! I am extremely blessed by God that I have such an amazing circle of support from family, friends, and even complete strangers. Your stories, words of encouragement, prayers, donations, and friendship are the reason I am smiling and healthy today! Thank you!
For those of you who don't know my story, I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer on September 6th 2007 at 25 years old. After many opinions, I decided to go through with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (chemo before surgery). This decision saved my life because the mainstream drugs didn’t shrink my tumor, and I wouldn’t have known that if I had surgery first. After 4 months of chemotherapy, I had a mastectomy and reconstruction. Treatment was really tough. The blessing at the end of the storm was that my surgery pathology reports showed NO cancer cells! God is surely amazing!
In Costa Rica on March 6th 2009, over a year from becoming cancer free, Ben asked me to spend the rest of our lives together (and I said YES)!!! I am the luckiest girl to be marrying a man who has loved and supported me through some of my darkest days. ☺
I found out days before starting my dream job in the NICU as a nurse, and did not have good insurance. Without the support of everyone who donated, I would not have had a way to pay for the mounds of medical bills and living expenses. I know first hand how cancer can change lives forever. I pray that what I have endured happened for a reason and is memorable. I believe strongly that God has a plan for me. Therefore, I have decided to walk 60 miles with my best friends and fiancé to help find a cure to this nasty disease. Please help support me as I hope to change lives with my story, my fight, and my faith!
Cuck Fancer,
Jami
