  April-27-2008 26 and finallly working!
Welcome

'Its all right' he said. 'I am here! Dont be afraid.'" Matthew 14:27

Will the weather get warmer, please? I hope the new year brings health, happiness, and success to all of you (and hopefully me too!) After graduating from my second degree in nursing, I was diagnosed on September 6th 2007 with invasive breast cancer at the age of 25. Pretty shocking!!! After many opinions at Sloan Kettering, Kaiser, & Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, I decided to go through with neoadjuvant chemo (chemo before surgery) and began chemotherapy in October.

Now it is 2008, and couldn't be more blessed. The treatments went pretty well, with minimal side effects, and now I am officially FINISHED with chemotherapy (hopefully for the rest of my life!) I was also pleasantly surprised to pass the nursing board (NCLEX) without even studying by accident. (I wrote a blog about this)

On February 11th, 2008, I had a skin saving mastectomy along with the beginning stages of reconstruction. After breezing through chemo, I was in for the shock of my life. It was/is so tough. The amazing news despite all of the chronic pain is that the pathology of my breast tissue shows absolutely NO cancer cells. Praise God!

Thank you for taking the time to read My Fight and for supporting this trial in my life. I am surrounded by amazing friends and family and feel so blessed, regardless of the many obstacles. I am filled with optimism, smiles, and I know God has a plan for me! I write an update at least every 2-3 weeks, so keep praying for me! Thank you!

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me" ~2 Corinthians 12:9
